Manufacturing Engineer Technician
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician (Swing Shift) Job Description Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer Technician on the Swing Shift in Sunnyvale. This role is pivotal in providing hands-on technical and sustaining engineering support to the ICSP manufacturing group. You will employ your strong mechanical and process knowledge to enhance product quality, equipment reliability, factory uptime, production capacity, and regulatory compliance in a GMP-regulated environment. Responsibilities + Service and maintain production equipment and fixtures to ensure maximum uptime. + Monitor key manufacturing processes and respond to out-of-control or out-of-spec conditions. + Investigate manufacturing failures, perform troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions. + Summarize findings and recommendations for engineers and document results for team knowledge sharing. + Coordinate with vendor technicians during equipment upgrades, installations, and testing activities. + Assist engineers in identifying, developing, qualifying, and validating new equipment, tooling, materials, processes, and technologies. + Maintain equipment calibration records and coordinate with calibration teams to ensure compliance within the QMS. + Perform equipment and process gap analyses to identify tooling and equipment needs. + Manage spare parts inventory to support equipment uptime and availability. + Identify safety improvements and collaborate with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to mitigate risks and implement solutions. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied science OR associate degree with 2+ years of relevant manufacturing or engineering technician experience. + Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with production equipment and test systems. + Comfortable operating equipment in a laboratory and manufacturing environment. + Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset (PDCA or similar methodologies). + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. + Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Critical thinking skills to make suggestions based on observations on the floor. + Ability to prioritize and schedule time based on issues/tickets that arise. + Experience with troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and documentation in a regulated environment. + Cross-functional communication skills to work with operators, assemblers, and MFG engineers. Work Environment Work will be conducted in laboratory, manufacturing floor, and office settings. The role requires adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. The ability to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance, and up to 50 lbs as needed, is required. The swing shift operates Monday-Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
