In this role, you will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction while carrying out daily supervisory responsibilities. Success in the department relies heavily on effective project management, clear communication, and strong collaboration with support groups. You will apply CORE, lean, and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement initiatives that enhance quality, throughput, and delivery integrity. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled team engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components, ensuring all employees are properly trained and work safely in accordance with environmental requirements. The position requires fair and consistent execution of business decisions, including holding regular toolbox meetings, maintaining two-way communication, and reinforcing organizational goals. You will be responsible for making minor system or process adjustments to resolve issues and improve work-area effectiveness, while establishing day-to-day operational objectives for the team. A solid understanding of management fundamentals—such as work scheduling, prioritization, coaching, and process execution—is essential for success.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $64.90/hr.
