International Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Lead – Paint to join our team at the Tulsa Bus Plant. This role is highly hands-on and floor-focused, supporting a high-volume paint operation that produces industry-leading IC Bus products. The selected candidate will spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor, evaluating paint processes, fixtures, equipment, and workflow to strengthen error-proofing and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and throughput.
As a key technical leader, you will support daily production by providing floor-level engineering guidance, troubleshooting issues in real time, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across safety, ergonomics, cost, and quality. You will work closely with production teams, represented employees, maintenance, quality, and leadership to ensure first-time quality, optimize paint operations, and advance the long-term reliability and robustness of the Paint department.

Master's degree and at least 2 years of product manufacturing experienceOR
At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills· Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
· Experience with 2D AutoCAD and 3D CAD software; Teamcenter NX experience is a plus
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to leadership
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience collecting and interpreting paint process data, including film build, PELT gauges, wave-scan tools, and data packs
· Demonstrated ability to improve safety, ergonomics, cost, and quality in a manufacturing environment
· Proven ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
· Experience in automotive or similar industries with an emphasis on paint systems
· Experience with robotic paint programming (Fanuc), mixing equipment (Graco), mixing ratios, solvents, and paint ovens
