General Job Summary: Join our dynamic aerospace team as a Manufacturing Operations Engineer focused on supplier management for electrical controllers, electric pumps, and valves. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and efficiency of critical components in our aerospace systems. Essential Job Functions: + Identify and assess potential suppliers for electrical controllers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. + Conduct regular evaluations and audits to ensure suppliers meet established standards and performance metrics. + Foster strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. + Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of components. + Develop and implement quality control processes for all FTT mechanical systems. + Establish and monitor inspection protocols to guarantee compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations. + Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the manufacturing and the supply chain. + Adhere to company best practices and standard operating procedures and provide feedback for improvements. + Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions. + Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges and ensure a steady flow of components. + Stay current on industry advancements and emerging technologies related to FTT mechanical systems (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) + Provide technical expertise to support decision-making and troubleshooting. + Other job duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: None Required Experience: Education and Experience: + BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering + 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, specifically in support of manufacturing operations with a focus on mechanical systems (pumps, controllers, valves, etc.) + Understanding of aerospace industry regulations and standards. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. + Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
