Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in medical device manufacturing for a Manufacturing Engineer. **Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer** **Location: Eden Prairie, MN (100% onsite)** **Pay: $80,000 - $100,000** **Duration: Direct Hire** **Job Function Summary:** The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for production optimization, design transfer, and sustaining activities. In this role, the engineer will develop processes and controls to improve the quality, repeatability, scalability, and cost. They will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to improve current designs and coordinate the manufacturing transfer of next-generation designs, including the development of IQ/OQ/PQ requirements. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will utilize quality metrics to identify and address trends in existing manufacturing processes, implement and manage tooling and fixtures for current **Primary** **Duties and Responsibilities:** • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for capital and disposable product lines using a risk-based approach. • Design, build, and validate manufacturing, testing, and service fixtures in collaboration with design and electrical engineering teams. • Identify and implement process control points to mature manufacturing processes. • Assess existing parts and suppliers to drive cost and quality improvements. • Support sourcing strategies for new product designs. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including facility layout optimization and automation proposals. • Evaluate and support implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). • Assist in bill of materials (BOM) development and maintenance. + Identify and qualify alternate sources for components and materials + Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) tools for manufacturing support + Generate and execute protocols and support documentation + Develop and document manufacturing requirements and procedures **Education and Experience:** **• 2+ Years in manufacturing engineering roles or equivalent STEM experience** **• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.** **• Manufacturing experience required.** **• Medical Device/Industry experience preferred.** **• Solidworks/CAD experience required.** **• Startup, small business experience preferred.** **Required Skills/Abilities:** **• Strong communication skills.** **• Ability to work effectively with others.** **• Self-starter who has helped manage production processes for electrical and/or mechanical equipment.** **Benefits:** • 401(k) • 401(k) matching (4%) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Paid Holidays • Paid Vacation Days • Paid Sick Days • Short Term Disability • Long Term Disability • Life Insurance • Pet Insurance • Employee Assistance Programs If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
