Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the timely creation, processing, and validation of CNC programs for new products, as well as the reprocessing of legacy parts. This role includes the design and implementation of fixturing, tooling, and other specialized work holding solutions to support manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam to efficiently produce precision parts on various machines for industrialization of product.Setup and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprints and technical drawings.Inspect first run piece and perform in-process quality checks utilizing precision instrument tools and in-process sheets according to company procedures.Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes and ensure high-quality standards are met.Create and maintain documentation such as work instructions, process drawings, and other quality control documents.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programming, machine operation, and other manufacturing processes.Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety procedures.Essential Skills
BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering preferred.7-10 years of experience in CNC programming and precision manufacturing on CNC machinery.Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, including various workpiece material, tool selection, and toolpath optimization.Familiarity with quality control methods, including statistical process control and Six Sigma.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mastercam and SolidWorks experience is a plus.Experience with AS9100 quality management systems is a plus.Knowledge and experience of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Six Sigma is a plus.Experience with New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
