Manufacturing Engineer
Hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer in Middlebury!

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will serve as the go-to person on the shop floor, responsible for designing and operating production systems, including assembly fixtures, alignment tools, and presses. This role requires a strong mechanical inclination, proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D design, and expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to read blueprints and perform calculations. The ideal candidate will also have general manufacturing experience, be highly collaborative, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Design and operate production systems, including assembly fixtures, alignment tools, and presses.Serve as the primary contact on the shop floor for manufacturing inquiries.Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D designs.Interpret blueprints and perform calculations using GD&T.Design and create 3D printed tools for technicians and shop floor assemblers.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in SolidWorks with 3-5 years of experience in 3D design.Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for blueprint interpretation.3-5 years of exposure to ISO 9001 standards.Strong mechanical inclination and general manufacturing experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred).Familiarity with ISO 13485 standards for medical devices is a plus.Experience with 3D printing is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The position is located onsite in Middlebury, CT, with working hours from 7 AM to 4 PM. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middlebury, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
