Manufacturing Engineer

Description

Help, design and develop manufacturing processes and systems focused on exceeding quality, cost, and schedule requirements to support business growth. The role will support a project that develops and defines concepts and processes for, and integral to, new product and product enhancement programs as well as coordinates and integrates specialized processes and techniques into a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

·Evaluate and implement innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturing processes and techniques, which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems.Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments, which facilitate the specification of the manufacturing processes.Develop and implement manufacturing flows, workstation layouts, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product/process quality.Collaborate closely with various functional team members to enhance design for manufacturability and ease of integration to manufacturing facility. Provide regular updates to stakeholders as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline1+ years of production oriented engineering experienceCAD proficiency, Solidworks preferredStrong problem solving and communication skillsJob Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
