Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic team specializing in the production of cardiorespiratory devices. This role focuses on process improvement and project management within a growing engineering group.
ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and support design transfers from R&D to production.Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and control plans.Specify and procure production equipment, tooling, and fixtures; manage validation and commissioning.Analyze manufacturing performance metrics (yield, scrap, downtime) and implement corrective actions as needed.Serve as the technical point of contact for resolving complex manufacturing issues.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as quality standards.Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for production failures using tools like 5-Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with demonstrated leadership in process improvement or project management.Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and PLM Systems.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in fixture design (Nice to have).Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings with a preference for onsite presence every day. The dress code is casual.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
