Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the Battery Pack Assembly equipment development process by collaborating with Site Teams and Global Teams. This role involves developing equipment specifications for vendor fabrication, monitoring equipment design, and leading equipment installation planning and specifications for North American Production Sites. The engineer will also be responsible for developing and improving standard tools and benchmarks, analyzing critical manufacturing issues, and clearly communicating root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesSupport Battery Pack Assembly equipment development process with Site Teams and Global Teams.Develop equipment specifications for vendor fabrication.Monitor and track equipment design, fabrication, and confirmation.Lead equipment installation planning and specifications for North American Production Sites.Lead equipment installation and confirmation at North American Production Sites.Develop and improve standard tools and benchmarks.Participate in cross-functional working groups to achieve project goals.Visualize activity plans and schedules to facilitate quick consensus building.Analyze critical manufacturing issues and communicate root cause and countermeasure plans to stakeholders.Essential SkillsProject management skills.Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and CATIA.Experience in process improvement and manufacturing engineering.Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.Experience with equipment installation and manufacturing processes.Proficiency with MS365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS, SharePoint).Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.2+ years of experience with production equipment, procurement, installation, and/or confirmation.0.5+ years of experience with AutoCAD / Autodesk including the ability to read, interpret, and modify 2D drawings.0.5+ years of experience with CATIA or equivalent 3D CAD software, including the ability to read, interpret, and modify 3D drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Battery Pack assembly processes.Experience with Assembly or Body Weld Equipment procurement or confirmation.TBP Completion through Panel.OSHA 10 certification.Robot experience for 3D automation.DELMIA experience.Work Environment

The work environment requires the ability to work weekends, holidays, and across multiple shifts to support tooling modification and installation projects. This includes 25% overtime, 12-hour shifts, weekend work, and shutdown periods. The role requires willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
