Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for organizing, moderating, and serving as the primary contact for PFMEA teams to ensure expectations are met. This role includes assuring PFMEAs are properly structured and stored within the corporate FMEA databases using AIAG-VDA software. The engineer will transfer selected data from Excel to the designated software, form cross-functional teams to write or update PFMEAs, and ensure correct participants are involved. Moderating PFMEA team meetings to apply the correct methodology is crucial, as is becoming an expert in the AIAG-VDA software tool. The engineer will also ensure the read-across of PFMEA product variations is accurate and current, aligning PFMEA with the actual production process. Supporting product and process teams in developing and maintaining Design and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (D/PFMEA) is essential.

Responsibilities

Organize and moderate PFMEA teams to meet expectations.Ensure PFMEAs are properly structured and stored in corporate FMEA databases using AIAG-VDA software.Transfer selected data from Excel to AIAG-VDA software.Form cross-functional teams to write or update PFMEAs and ensure correct participants are present.Moderate PFMEA team meetings to ensure correct methodology is applied.Become an expert in AIAG-VDA software tool.Ensure read-across of PFMEA product variations is correct and up-to-date.Align PFMEA with actual production processes.Support product and process teams in developing and maintaining Design and Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (D/PFMEA).

Essential Skills

Proficiency in AIAG-VDA PFMEA methodology.Excellent computer skills, including Office 365 and understanding of IT database structures.Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.Team player willing to assist as needed.Project management experience over 2 years.Commitment to project schedule and due dates.Effective communication skills.Ability to lead small cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Engineering experience from college, internships, or co-ops Proficiency in Office 365.Understanding of IT database structures.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Maryville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
