Northrop Grumman’s Business Unit, Armament Systems, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2) to provide manufacturing and process engineering technical expertise for our guided projectile production programs in our Plymouth, MN offices.

Position Summary:
This position reports to the Engineering Manager, Production Engineering and is focused on development, maintenance and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to support the manufacturing and testing of PGK electro-mechanical fuze assemblies.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field & 2 years of related engineering experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing development environment, OR a Masters Degree in a STEM fieldMust be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (US Citizenship Required)Ability to work 1st Shift in direct support of on-site production operations. Schedule allows for flexibility with core hours of support from 8am – 2pm daily. Experience with the development of manufacturing processes and documentation that ensures hardware and test articles meet engineering and configuration requirements.Experience with supporting the assembly and build of complex electro-mechanical assemblies in production or in development.Ability to perform work independently and within team environments.Solid verbal and written communication skills.General Experience with MS Office Suite tools.Physical DemandsAbility to work for extended periods of time at a workstation on a computer or similar device for up to 10 hours / duration of shift. Occasional extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling.Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.Traverse unit/product and operate in manufacturing/production environment to include: tooling, stands, ladders, steps etc. while wearing appropriate PPE and meeting all Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) requirements.Ability to wear personal protective equipment if required (including but not limited to, steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)Ability to be able to lift, up to 35 pounds at times.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment.Experience with automation systems and robotics.Experience with SharePoint webpage administration and data collection.Experience with Siemens Teamcenter.Prior experience working in the defense industry and/or with U.S. Government contracts is preferred.Current & active DoD security clearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
