As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. You will conduct tests throughout all production stages to control applicable variables and troubleshoot complex manufacturing engineering issues. You will design the arrangement of manufacturing equipment for optimal efficiency and productivity, while coordinating with design engineering for the release of new products. You will guide product design engineering on technical specifications to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes.Conduct tests during all production stages to control applicable variables and troubleshoot complex issues.Design manufacturing equipment layouts for optimal efficiency and productivity.Coordinate with design engineering for the release of new products.Estimate manufacturing costs and determine time standards.Recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.Ensure compliance with production processes and procedures.Maintain records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations coordination.Develop documentation of findings and implemented solutions.Communicate results and make technical presentations to staff.Observe all laws, regulations, and obligations in business conduct.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Perform other duties as assigned.Work safely according to established operating procedures and practices.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Weld Engineering preferred.3-7 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.3+ years of welding and fabrication experience.3+ years of design experience including tooling design and fixture design.Understanding of Laser Tracking Equipment (CMM, Faro).Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Experience with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW welding processes.Ability to acquire and maintain security clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with welding various alloys such as ferrous and non-ferrous, bi-metallic joints, and high strength materials.Basic understanding of PQR’s, WPS’s, and WPQRs testing requirements.Understanding of NCR system.Experience with lifting and handling.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe.Work EnvironmentThis role is based onsite at the Tupelo, Mississippi Facility, working with the Manufacturing Weld team in the shop. The work hours are Monday through Thursday, from 5:30am to 4pm, with occasional overtime and weekend work based on product shipment. The team values efficiency, accuracy, and budget-conscious work completion.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.40 - $61.05/hr.
