Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility systems, process improvement, and knowledge of or interest in chemicals, as they will be owning the process of the chemical department. This role requires hands-on experience with new process layouts within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes and equipment layouts.Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for mechanical systems.Support installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and maintenance procedures.Troubleshoot and resolve design and operational issues in a timely manner.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.3+ years of experience with automated machinery and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.Strong troubleshooting experience with automated machinery and heavy industrial equipment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and project management abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with metal or aluminum extrusion.Knowledge of AutoCAD.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, OSHA).Work Environment
The role involves working both on the manufacturing floor and in a desk environment, with a 50/50 split between facility shop floor with automated equipment and office tasks. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with availability to be on call during weekends. The environment requires industrial attire such as boots and pants, and the use of PPE including hard hats and glasses. The team is currently 115 employees and is expected to grow to 230 by mid next year. Work can be physically demanding, especially in summer heat.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
