Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, whose primary focus is on enhancing the efficiency, speed, and quality of production processes. You will be responsible for specifying new equipment, overseeing its implementation, and supporting process changes. You will develop expertise in designated processes and equipment, understanding their capabilities and optimizing their use in production. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a mid-sized organization with limited hierarchies, where gap-filling and initiative are key. Responsibilities + Specify and oversee the implementation of new manufacturing equipment. + Develop and maintain expertise in designated processes and equipment. + Support ongoing process changes and improvements. + Design tooling and fixtures using CAD and Solidworks. + Optimize production lines and improve processes. + Troubleshoot and program PLCs. + Implement continuous improvement strategies using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles. Essential Skills + 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a metals fabrication environment. + Proficiency in equipment specification, CNC machining, and work instructions. + 6/10 proficiency in Solidworks for cell design and design of fixtures & tooling. + Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Passionate about manufacturing and engineering. + Positive, can-do attitude with excellent prioritization skills. + Seeks input from team members and acts decisively in the best interests of the company. + Strong technical skills with a desire to continuously learn. + Self-directed and motivated to support the needs of a growing business. + Experience in small or mid-sized companies. + Knowledge of metal fabrication and made-to-order custom manufacturing. + Experience with heat exchangers or systems requiring coils. + CNC and traditional machining experience. + PLC and related automation experience. + Proven project management skills. + Experience with commissioning new manufacturing equipment.
