**Job Summary:**
The Manufacturing Engineer serves as a pivotal leader, guiding teams dedicated to optimizing operations and manufacturing processes, including tooling, tool design, and equipment utilization. This role is instrumental in ensuring that assigned parts and products are produced efficiently, economically, and in strict accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
This position places a strong emphasis on the integration of automation technologies to streamline manufacturing operations and boost overall productivity. The role also prioritizes the implementation of robust quality systems to ensure consistent product excellence and operational efficiency. Continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, quality enhancement, and productivity gains are central to achieving department and organizational goals.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Directly oversees and develops high-performing manufacturing engineering teams, providing continuous training and mentorship to support and enhance plant operations.
+ Champions the identification, evaluation, and implementation of automation solutions to streamline manufacturing processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance operational efficiency. Leads cross-functional teams in deploying advanced technologies that drive process standardization and facilitate scalable production improvements.
+ Develops and enforces rigorous quality control measures, leveraging data-driven approaches and continuous feedback to ensure products consistently meet or exceed engineering and regulatory standards. Proactively initiates productivity improvement projects, utilizing lean principles and performance metrics to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste across all manufacturing operations.
+ Leads all aspects of tool design, assembly, manufacturing processes, cost estimation, systems planning and layout, and the establishment and release of operational standards.
+ Drives the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods, equipment, and systems to achieve and exceed operational objectives.
**Educational Requirements:**
+ Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, such as Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Process Engineering or related to the field.
+ Knowledge of manufacturing production operations
+ English Advanced

+ Contributes to the development of capacity plans and supports the efficient alignment of resources with organizational goals.
**Lean Manufacturing:**
+ Champions the integration and adoption of lean manufacturing philosophies across the organization.
+ Educates and mentors colleagues on lean principles, including their application to operations, logistics, and product development.
+ Consults on work cell and layout designs, ensuring alignment with lean objectives, and leads initiatives to measure and monitor lean performance.
**Manufacturing Processes:**
+ Applies extensive industry knowledge to select, optimize, and evaluate manufacturing methodologies and technologies.
+ Develops and maintains best practice documentation and trains others in all aspects of the manufacturing process.
+ Leads the measurement and assessment of new processes, ensuring continuous improvement and competitiveness.
**Manufacturing Safety:**
+ Promotes a strong safety culture by implementing innovative safety tools, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
+ Designs emergency response procedures and communicates safety requirements across all levels of the workforce.
+ Identifies emerging hazards, initiates corrective actions, and fosters engagement with safety objectives among employees and contractors.
**Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies:**
+ Contributes to the creation and rollout of manufacturing policies and procedures, ensuring process compliance and operational excellence.
+ Explains the rationale behind standards, engages with stakeholders, and provides feedback for ongoing improvement.
+ Monitors adherence to standards and escalates potential exceptions for review as needed.
**Top candidates may also possess:**
+ Master of Science in Automation Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Science in Manufacturing Systems, Robotics and Automation, or related to the field.
+ Expert in process automation technologies, such as PLC programming, robotics, or digital manufacturing tools.
+ Proven track record in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance quality and productivity.
+ Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of automated solutions.
+ Familiarity with data collection and analysis systems for monitoring and improving process performance.
+ Excellent communication skills to drive engagement and training related to new automation initiatives.

+ This position is five-day a week in-office model, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
