Responsibilities + Develop and maintain cost-effective processes and procedures. + Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles. + Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments. + Provide design for manufacturability feedback to appropriate audiences. + Identify and complete continuous improvement projects. + Create and coordinate engineering studies. + Assist in the development of tool design and CNC programming. + Design and implement fixtures. + Create and modify BOM/BOO routings within the ERP system using change control processes. + Assist with costing and quoting functions. + Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAP structure. + Maintain documentation for engineering changes and manufacturing processes. + Coordinate measurement methods with quality programmers and engineers. + Maintain machining and secondary operational processes. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in medical device machining/manufacturing. + Proficiency in process and continuous improvement. + ERP system management experience. + Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. + Proficiency in tooling, SolidWorks, CNC programming, tooling design, BOM generation, and machining processes. + Experience with CNC Swiss and CNC milling. + Knowledge of fixture design and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. + Understanding of ISO standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an associate degree with 4 years of relevant experience. + Experience with CAD software. + Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially Word and Excel. + Effective written and verbal communication skills. + Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. + Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts is preferred. + Experience in a precision machine shop environment is preferred. + LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application is preferred. + Experience with CAM software, particularly Swiss or Milling, is preferred. + Experience working within an ISO environment is preferred.
