Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will provide direct, hands-on support to active production lines, ensuring operational continuity and resolving issues that impact throughput, quality, or safety. This role focuses heavily on troubleshooting production stops, repairing or redesigning tooling and fixtures, and supporting operators with real-time engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Address production stops such as damaged tools or defects.
+ Manage Requests for Engineering Assistance (REAs), improving material handling and manufacturing instructions.
+ Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring seamless operations on the shop floor.
+ Collaborate with production leads, quality engineering, and operations for continuous improvement.
+ Modify tooling and fixturing using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
Essential Skills
+ Engineering Degree (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical) and ideally 3-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
+ Hands-on manufacturing support and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks for CAD.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing environments.
+ Experience with process and documentation improvements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with CATIA is a plus.
+ Background in aerospace engineering will stand out.
+ Project management skills.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment is a dynamic manufacturing setting, requiring hands-on problem solving and collaboration with engineers and operators on the production floor. The role involves practical troubleshooting and a proactive approach to resolving production challenges. The role is onsite and located in the southwestern portion of the Portland Metro area.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
