Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. They should have a minimum of three years of professional experience working with automated machinery and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment, including relevant internships or professional roles. The candidate must also have at least three years of experience developing work instructions, technical documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Additionally, they should be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Responsibilities + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes and equipment layouts. + Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for mechanical systems. + Support installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment. + Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and maintenance procedures. + Troubleshoot and resolve design and operational issues in a timely manner. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. + Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. + Strong knowledge of automated machinery and troubleshooting heavy industrial equipment. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and project management abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS in Chemical Engineering is a plus. + Familiarity with metal or aluminum extrusion. + Familiarity with chemicals or chemical processes. + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. + Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, OSHA). Work Environment The role involves working 50% on the manufacturing floor and 50% at a desk within the facility shop floor with automated equipment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with availability on weekends to be on call. The environment requires wearing boots, pants, PPE (hard hats and glasses) due to its industrial nature. The work can be physically demanding, especially in the summer heat. Our company currently has 115 employees and is expected to grow to 230 by mid-next year. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
