Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer specifications, design requirements, and information from quotations are incorporated into the manufacturing plan. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing manufacturing plans, establishing time standards, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all drawings and plans. This role involves serving as a liaison between various departments and maintaining professional relationships with vendors, customers, and employees. Responsibilities + Ensure customer specifications and design requirements are considered in the manufacturing plan. + Develop and review all routings (manufacturing plans) and verify sequence of operations and dimensional information. + Establish time standards that serve as performance measurements for all manufacturing plans. + Review all drawings for completeness and accuracy and act on any necessary changes. + Review and sign off on all Midstate Machine drawn prints and operation sheets. + Ensure manufacturing plans are reviewed by Quality Planning before releasing to manufacturing. + Review customer-generated engineering changes and initiate necessary changes to the manufacturing process. + Verify and sign off on all changes or corrections in routing, process drawings, and print references. + Serve as a liaison between Materials, Manufacturing, Engineering, Tooling, and Programming. + Maintain a professional relationship with vendors, customers, and employees. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering + 5+ years of experience in a heavy industrial fabrication/CNC environment + Experience in regulated markets (automotive, aerospace, power generation) + Experience with CNC machines/lathes/mills manufacturing processes + Design experience, preferably with NX or Mastercam + US Citizenship Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in aerospace manufacturing/machining + Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, dimensional modeling, and tooling & fixture design + Hands-on CNC machining experience including programming, setup, and process improvement + Experience with continuous improvement, machining, and time studies Work Environment The position is based at the Cincinnati, Ohio facility located in Springdale, OH. This facility employs 80 individuals, including 4 engineers, and operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, five days a week. The work involves dealing with highly complex products used in regulated industries such as aerospace and power generation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.89/hr.
