Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Lansing location. This role will primarily focus on OEM assembly and composite bonding, including hands-on troubleshooting, defect analysis, and corrective actions. The ideal candidate will assist in daily operations, emphasizing lean values, continuous improvement, and root cause corrective action.

ResponsibilitiesPlan sequences of operations, estimate time required, and write process sheets and bill of materials.Determine manufacturing methods and processes necessary for the fabrication and assembly of complex products from part drawings and other engineering data.Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for equipment, tooling, and material, including make or buy decisions and facility layout for new or revised products.Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing problems.Provide technical support to operations.Consult with design or projects engineering concerning the suitability or produceability of complex molds, fixtures, or parts.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or another Engineering field.US Citizenship.2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action.Proficiency in CAD software.Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, including continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience interpreting manufacturing drawings and 3D models.Experience using CAD software.Experience with continuous improvement programs such as ACE or 6S.Work Environment

The work schedule is Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6 AM to 6 PM, totaling 36 hours, but employees are compensated for 40 hours. The position is a contract role for 1-2 years, with potential for permanent placement. The company offers 12 holidays and access to Udemy after six months. The environment supports aerospace experience and operates with a large global workforce.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $64.90/hr.
