Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on all mechanical equipment, including production machines, HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and conveyors, to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues with production and facility equipment. This includes identifying the root cause of failures and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.Assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment and machinery. Ensure that all installations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and parts inventory. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and other relevant safety and regulatory standards.Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production schedules.Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to equipment and maintenance procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety. However, there might be occasions when support is needed during nights and weekends. You will not be leading maintenance mechanics but will work closely with them. The work environment offers lots of room for growth and the ability to lead teams and initiatives.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.28/hr.
