Job Description

The position of Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing systems that meet the stringent quality and compliance standards required in the Aerospace and Defense sectors.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and systems to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality outputs in compliance with Aerospace and Defense quality standards in a precision machining environment.Identify and resolve production issues, including mechanical failures, process inefficiencies, and quality concerns. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Lead and manage manufacturing projects, including the integration of new products, installation of new equipment, process upgrades, and upgrades to existing systems. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry specifications.Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports. Analyze production data and generate regular performance reports for management.Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining-focused environmentStrong knowledge of CNC machining, materials, GD&T, and blueprint readingExperience developing processes and routings for new partsSkilled in writing work instructionsExperience with configuration managementExperience supporting capital equipment projectsProficiency in manufacturing engineering, process development, continuous improvement, CNC, machining, GD&T, blueprint, precision machining, work instruction, configuration management, capital project, commissioning, tooling, CAD/CAM, SOP, and time studies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CNC Programming experienceExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologiesExperience with ERP systems; experience with Infor Syteline is a plusExperience with Aerospace and Defense regulatory requirements, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springboro, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
