Caterpillar is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Victoria, TX. In this role, you will collaborate with the team in maintaining and improving processes and systems in the manufacture of the products produced in the facility.  Further, you will analyze and recommend current and future systems, procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.

New Product Introduction (NPI) project analysis and planningFeasibility studies for site optimization for existing and new processesImprove overall cost structure and facility efficiencyDetailed project planning including all required project tasks, resources, costs, and critical path timeline design manufacturing assembly processesPFMEA creationDrive Lean principles manufacturing principlesCapital planning and procurementDesign and direct the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of assembly equipment and machines and related capital planningParticipate in Collaborative Product and Process DevelopmentUnderstand and communicate material deviation processProvide analysis and recommendations for engineering product designs

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Knowledge of Caterpillar product structureExperience in Caterpillar Product Release Work Bench (PRWB)Experience in Teamcenter Lifecycle Visualization, preferably VPPaPrior experience in similar roleLean Certification such as Six Sigma Green or Black BeltProject management experienceProficiency in project planner software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project Planner and other software, such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, PythonStrong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teamsProficiency in print reading, GD&T, and ability to read CMM reportsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BIProficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
