Job Title: Manufacturing Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and will play a key role in driving financial excellence by analyzing business performance, ensuring cost control, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an on-site role, reporting to the Business Controller, and will collaborate closely with various teams to support the company’s financial goals.

Responsibilities

Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to identify variances and trends.Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.Reconcile balance sheet and ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies.Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business goals.Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a financial analyst roleBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, lookups, index matching, and macros.Experience with SAP (preferred)Experience in developing Power BI

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Ormond Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
