Job Title: Manufacturing Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our Ormond Beach, FL manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will bring prior accounting experience within a manufacturing environment and play a vital role in supporting financial accuracy and operational efficiency. This position will focus on analyzing business performance, maintaining cost controls, and ensuring the integrity of financial records. Reporting directly to the Business Controller, this on-site role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to help achieve the company’s financial objectives.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs to identify variances and emerging trends.Partner with production teams to improve resource utilization and minimize waste.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure financial records align with company policies and accounting standards.Assess financial performance and deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.Develop and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress toward business objectives.Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial reporting.Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.Assist with internal and external audits by organizing and submitting required documentation.Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes.

Essential Skills

Skilled in cost management, financial analysis, and reporting.Experienced in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.Strong experience in evaluating financial and operational data to support strategic decisions.Proven ability to investigate and interpret financial and business information.Hands-on experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in identifying performance gaps and recommending actionable improvements.Adept at streamlining financial processes and driving operational efficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial analyst or similar role.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and basic macros.Experience working with SAP (preferred).Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role located at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The position reports directly to the Business Controller and offers a collaborative, fast-paced work environment with strong opportunities for professional development and career growth.

This is a Contract position based out of Ormond Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
