Manufactruing Engineer Supervisor
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer SupervisorJob Description

In this role, you will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction while carrying out daily supervisory responsibilities. Success in the department relies heavily on effective project management, clear communication, and strong collaboration with support groups. You will apply CORE, lean, and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement initiatives that enhance quality, throughput, and delivery integrity. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled team engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components, ensuring all employees are properly trained and work safely in accordance with environmental requirements.

ResponsibilitiesApply CORE, lean, and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput, and delivery integrity.Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components.Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner.Execute business decisions fairly, hold regular toolbox meetings, maintain two-way communications, and clearly communicate organizational goals and objectives.Bridge business objectives across three operating shifts and be available for all shifts.Support all legal obligations, including United States Government contracting and administration of FAA policies and procedures.Make minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area.Set day-to-day operational objectives for the team and understand basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree2+ years of experience leading in a manufacturing settingExperience in lean/continuous improvementProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAPAccess to Udemy after 6 monthsWork Environment

This position requires availability on all shifts, with specific hours on the 3rd shift starting Monday at 10 PM and ending Saturday morning at 6 AM. The work environment includes adherence to safety and environmental requirements, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective communication. The position includes 12 holidays and 2 weeks of paid time off.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $64.90/hr.
