Manual Machinist/CNC Machinist
Job Title: Manual Machinist

Responsibilities:Fabricate and shape parts out of metal.Properly select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Determine the proper tools required for tasks.Operate lifting aids as necessary.Use gauges and precision measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.Track parts and jobs in Travelers.Maintain a safe and clean working environment.Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should have 6-10 years of job shop experience and be familiar with heavy industrial lathes, grinders, boring mills, planers, and portable tools. Proficiency in turning, drilling, tapping, boring, honing, polishing, and threading machine processes is essential. Experience with large part machining, such as ship propeller shafting and ship steering gear, is preferred. Forklift and crane experience is also desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
