**Job Title: Manual Machinist**
**Overview**
We are seeking an experienced **Manual Machinist** to join our team and support the overhaul and repair of rotating machinery. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating conventional machine tools, interpreting complex engineering drawings, and developing machining methods where none currently exist. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring others and driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform layouts, setups, and machining operations using conventional machine tools
+ Read and interpret complex blueprints, including **Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)**
+ Design and develop machining setups and processes when standard methods are not available
+ Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to meet tight tolerance requirements
+ Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards
+ Train and guide shop personnel on proper machining techniques and best practices
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost control
**Required Qualifications**
+ Proven experience as a **Manual Machinist** in a machine shop environment
+ Strong proficiency with mills and a wide range of manual machining tools
+ Ability to consistently hold close tolerances and perform detailed inspections
+ Experience setting up and operating equipment such as:
+ Engine Lathes
+ ID/OD Grinders
+ Horizontal & Vertical Boring Mills
+ Radial Drills
+ Planer Mills
+ Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on training
+ Minimum of **4 years of machine shop experience**
**Work Schedule & Environment**
+ **Shift:** First shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
+ **Overtime:** Available as needed
+ **Environment:** Fully equipped machine shop specializing in the overhaul and repair of rotating machinery

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swedesboro, NJ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
