Job Title: Manual Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a Manual Machinist on the 1st Shift (Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm) with opportunities for overtime each week. We are looking for a skilled individual with a strong understanding of manual lathe operations and a commitment to safety and precision.

Responsibilities

Operate and set up manual lathe machines efficiently.Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.Select and apply appropriate cutting tools for different tasks.Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers effectively.Adhere to safety procedures and practices at all times.Troubleshoot and solve issues with machines and parts.Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in operating and setting up manual lathe machines.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Knowledge of cutting tools and their applications.Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in setting up and operating an Engine Lathe.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills.Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.

Work Environment

The work environment is very heavy industrial and can become quite hot during the summer months. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in a challenging yet rewarding industrial setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Bensalem, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
