We’re looking for a talented Manual Machinist to join our tight‑knit, six‑person team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of precision layouts, setups, and machining using conventional equipment. You’ll work from complex technical drawings—including GD&T—and engineer setup methods for specialized, one‑off, or first‑time projects.

This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys solving technical challenges, and wants to contribute to both mentoring and continuous improvement efforts across the shop.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform precision layouts and operate conventional machine tools with accuracy and consistencyRead and interpret complex blueprints, including GD&TDevelop setup methods for custom, prototype, or challenging machining projectsTrain and mentor team members on proper machining techniquesIdentify and implement opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and shop processesEssential Skills & ExperienceHands‑on experience with Manual Mill, Lathe, and combination Mill/Lathe operationsAbility to operate a Horizontal Boring MillStrong blueprint interpretation and manual machining expertiseProficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, grinders)Completion of a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent trainingDemonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances and inspect finished componentsExperience setting up and operating equipment such as:ID/OD GrindersEngine LatheHorizontal & Vertical Boring MillsRadial DrillPlaner MillMinimum of 4 years of machine shop experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience running a Planer MillStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑focused mindsetWillingness to work overtime based on workload needsWhy Join Us?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
