Manual Machinist
Job Title: Manual MachinistJob Description

Join a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs as a Manual Machinist on the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. This role offers an opportunity to work in a growing organization, engaging in diverse and technically challenging work within the Repairs Division. You will use power-operated machine tools to repair and/or fabricate precision metal parts and components, maintaining specific tolerance levels in various pieces of power generation equipment. The position requires work both in the St. Louis shop and in the field, with some travel involved.

ResponsibilitiesDetermine work procedures, machine tools, equipment, and attachments to be used for assigned work.Utilize precision measuring instruments and equipment such as Vernier calipers, height gauges, inside, outside, and depth micrometers, parallels, gage blocks, dial indicators, and surface gages to achieve accurate dimensions and maintain tolerances.Set up and operate machines including, but not limited to, lathes, mills, drills, grinders, saws, and boring equipment.Travel extensively during peak seasons (Spring/Fall).Work extended hours during peak seasons, which may include both day and night shifts.
Essential SkillsProficiency in manual machining, including lathes and mills.Ability to perform changeovers and setups with tight tolerances.Strong troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of blueprint reading.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with manual mills/lathes and changeovers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
