**Job Title: Manual Machinist** Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist with a strong foundation in machining operations, particularly in manual mill and lathe work. This role requires an individual who is proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and has experience with hand and power tools, including grinders. Responsibilities + Review project assignments and instructions from the team leader. + Examine drawings and machining requirements for each job. + Develop an action plan based on task understanding. + Set up and operate lathe machines, milling machines, saws, drill presses, and I.D. grinders. + Monitor machines and make necessary adjustments to enhance performance. + Ensure all work meets quality standards. + Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve processes. + Adhere to safety protocols and address any safety issues with equipment or processes. + Participate in safety improvement programs. Essential Skills + 3 years of manual mill and lathe experience. + 3 years of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. + 3+ years of experience operating hand and power tools, including grinders. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with CNC mill and lathe operations. + Ability to learn CNC programming. + Willingness to work the second shift when needed. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to quickly learn and operate various machine shop equipment and tools. + Basic computer skills for entering job logs and information into Epicor. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Work Environment This position is based in an industrial environment within a medium-sized, fast-paced machine shop. The shop can be loud at times and the temperature varies with the weather, though it is heated. The workplace is well-organized, comprising about 50-60 employees. The shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM until 12:30 AM, with potential for overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ZELIENOPLE, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
