**Job Title: Manual Machinist** **Job Description** The qualified candidate will be responsible for reworking dull rolls and rethreading them using a manual lathe. You will oversee the single CNC machine in the building, conducting your own setups, tooling changes, and offsets. While the programming is pre-set, you will need to make minor adjustments if a part is not running correctly. This role involves working with large rollers for paper and steel mills, repairing the threading on roller ends, and using overhead cranes to move and set the rollers in the machine. **Responsibilities** + Rework and rethread dull rolls using a manual lathe. + Manage the CNC lathe, conducting setups, tooling changes, and offsets. + Make minor program tweaks to ensure correct part runs. + Work with large rollers for paper and steel mills. + Use overhead cranes to move and position rollers in the machine. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of experience as a Manual Machinist with the ability to perform own setups and tear downs. + Ability to read blueprints. + Proficiency with micrometers. + High School Diploma or GED. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Journeyman Card in Machining or Tool and Die. + Experience in programming and troubleshooting. + Ability to edit programs (GSS). **Why Work Here?** This company boasts over 100 years of successful operation with a reputation for never having layoffs. The work shifts available are second (2pm-10pm) and third (10pm-6am), based on the candidate's preference. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Joseph, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
