Currently hiring for Manual Machinists in the Frankfort, IL area. Hiring immediately.
Shift: 1st shift, 7AM-3:30PM. Monday - Friday.
Must be open to overtime. Occasional Saturday work may be required. Job DescriptionMachining brackets, fixtures, and other pieces for food processing machinery.Operating mills, lathes, saws, presses, grinders, and other machinery.Performing lockout/tagout procedures on machinery.Fabricating parts based on blueprints and sketches.Creating basic drawings by hand.Performing set-ups on all machinery.Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Inspecting and verifying parts using precision gauges including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.Conducting equipment checks and maintenance at proper intervals.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a manual machinist.Proficiency in manual machining, specifically with mills and lathes.Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches.Skilled in using micrometers and calipers.Must own personal tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to operate mills and lathes effectively.Strong hand-drawing skills for creating basic drawings.Experience in conducting equipment checks and maintenance.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is generally clean, operating within a shop that houses 20-25 people including machinists, welders, fabricators, and mechanics.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
