**Job Title: CNC Manual Lathe Machinist**
**Job Description**
The CNC Manual Lathe Machinist will program, set up, and operate manual lathe machines, with Mazack experience as a plus. The position is available for the 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm. This role involves assembling electrical and pneumatic components and sub-assemblies into the machine’s final configuration using blueprints, bills of material, power, and hand tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform setup of manual lathe, including collecting required tools, installing tools into holders, and locating and indicating chuck or installing collect.
+ Utilize hand tools, blueprints, and process sheets for operations.
+ Operate manual lathe to machine parts, performing tasks such as c'drill, drill, rough and finish bore, rough and finish turn, chamfer, tap, thread, face, knurl, part off, etc.
+ Unload and deburr parts.
+ Inspect parts using micrometers, hole test gauges, calipers, thread and plug gauges, indicators, telescoping depth gauges, etc.
+ Hold tolerances on diameters and concentricity as per print specifications.
+ Complete quality checks as required.
+ Use arbor press to install bearings and surface and wheel grinders for making special tools and sharpening tools.
+ Collaborate with machinists and industrial engineers to verify or change shop routers and process sheets to facilitate the manufacture of parts.
+ Assist engineering department by machining prototype parts and evaluating machinability of parts.
+ Check and maintain oil and coolant levels, clean out chip pan, clean, and oil ways.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist.
+ Extensive machine shop knowledge.
+ Ability to set up and operate machines without assistance.
+ Capability to perform proven setups and first part inspections independently.
+ Skill in improving and implementing changes on existing parts and processes.
+ Demonstrates key behaviors with minimal coaching or supervision.
+ Maintains a safe and organized work environment.
+ Capability to train other operators at the primary work center.
+ Understands team objectives and strives to perform a fair share of work.
+ Meets quality expectations consistently with a low scrap rate.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with CNC Machine, Mill, Grinding, Mazatrol, and blueprint reading.
+ Ability to cooperate with team members and share helpful information.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves moderate to frequent exposure to a shop setting, which may include dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise, and moving parts. The facility is climate-controlled with heating and air conditioning.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $31.00/hr.
