Northrop Grumman’s Missions Systems sector is seeking a Manager Supply Chain Programs, Level 2 to lead the Integrated Fleet Systems (IFS) programs at our Bethpage, NY facility. 

What You’ll get to Do:

As the lead Manager Supply Chain Programs you will be the focal point for program leadership and supporting functions on all Supply Chain content in support of various contract types within the Integrated Fleet Systems portfolio. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. Travel is occasionally required to support technical reviews, meetings, and working groups.

GSC Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the supply chain life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout) and include, but not limited to: 

Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a collection of Programs.Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies. Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution. Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.Identifying, allocating and managing team resources, including workforce planningConducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 8 years relevant experience (6+ years with a Masters) in manufacturing/operations, supply chain, business, or program managementMinimum of 3 years in a formal lead and/or direct management positionExperience managing external suppliers on gov’t/DoD contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP, particularly Supply Chain/MRP transactionsExperience with Microsoft programs particularly Excel and MS ProjectExperience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing environment

Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
