Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems is seeking a **Manager Quality 3** to lead the Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) program and Process Audits organization. **This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.**
The Manager Quality 3 will be a member of the Process Compliance organization within Mission Assurance and will be leading process surveillance across the Sector in the areas of Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and leading areas of risk for AS Programs. This manager will lead utilize performance data to assess areas of risk, plan and develop audit plans to address areas of prioritization, analyze and communicate audit finding trends, and team with appropriate stakeholders to develop appropriate corrective actions to prevent process trends.
Essential Functions:
+ Develop vision and execution surveillance strategy for FOE & process audits
+ Establish best practices for audit execution and findings analysis
+ Develop talent pipeline and current staff
+ Advise leadership team on audit value, opportunities, and strategy
+ Brief management and executive leadership on surveillance strategy, execution to plan, and findings trends
+ Lead a team in the conduct of audits to identify and eliminate FOD hazards and process risks.
+ Team with Operations to implement and maintain a program to prevent foreign objects from damaging aircraft, systems, and facilities
+ Team with Operations and Mission Assurance stakeholders to create/modify procedures and inspection protocols, train personnel, and recommending improvements to the FOE program based on FOE audit findings
+ Manage capacity, priorities, and performance of the team
+ Develop solutions in collaboration with customers to support customer needs
+ Actively engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure services are delivered to meet or exceed expectations in a highly complex and dynamic environment
+ The successful candidate must demonstrate mature project management skills and must provide timely and transparent plans and status to schedules.
+ This individual must demonstrate a high level of collaboration across programs and functions and have strong communication skills.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must have a Bachelor's Degree AND 9 years of professional/military experience in Quality or Mission Assurance within Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries OR a Master's Degree AND 7 years of professional/military experience in Quality or Mission Assurance within Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries.
+ Must have 7 years of prior leadership/management experience.
+ Experience in process improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques
+ Proven people management experience leading an organization
+ Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience leading FOE Program, FOE improvement initiatives, and/or Process Audits
+ Experience in identifying and driving operational/organizational change and excellence.
+ Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating culture change visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective teams
+ Demonstrated ability develop performance metrics to demonstrate work being performed and the health of the processes being audited.
+ Knowledge of FOD prevention, a thorough understanding of FOD causes, effects, and prevention techniques
+ Ability to team with Operations and Mission Assurance to develop and deliver effective training programs
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences on FOE & Process Audits
+ Passion for problem solving: the ability to identify and resolve FOD-related and process issues
+ High attention to detail: identification and documentation of hazards and risks and data analysis to identify adverse trends
+ Experience developing improvement initiatives and tracking performance improvements utilizing performance data
+ Understanding of Mission Assurance and Operations standards and practices
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)
+ Understanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and products
+ Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team
+ Ability to make decisions with minimal support
+ Current DOD Secret, or Top Secret
Salary Range: $154,600.00 - $231,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
