Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Programs 3 - Tooling for a large-scale program. This position reports directly to the Director of Infrastructure and Capacity Expansion. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The ideal candidate thrives on shaping and developing high-value strategy and execution of multiple projects for a complex program, orchestrating proposal activities to achieve organization goals that align with customer’s strategic objectives while ensuring successful program execution.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Directing all phases of program from inception through completion
Responsibility for the cost, schedule and technical performance of tooling programs
Acting as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
Establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
Directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
Collaborating across program and functional teams and ensure on-time execution
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks (e.g. technical, cost, schedule, legal, security) and maintaining risk register and ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed
Strategically managing NCTA budgets (B&P and M&S) with financial rigor and predictability
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
3 years of experience in a Project Management or Program Management related role
Experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment; specifically, as it related to the tooling process
Experience with using Microsoft Office tool suite; Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Minimum of 5-years of experience on large aircraft programs with budget and EVMS responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited university
Demonstrated knowledge of Earned Value Management System
Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production program management specific roles
Current Special Program Access (PAR)
Certified Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience using Jira, Kanban
Primary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
