Northrop Grumman, Mission Systems' (NGMS) Marine Systems is seeking a Program Manager 2 to direct and manage activities associated with the Strategic Launcher Program Office. This position will be located onsite in Sunnyvale, CA or Cape Canaveral, FL. The selected candidate will get the opportunity to lead the program into the future, ensuring the safety of the next generation of warfighters.

What You'll Get to Do:

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years' or a Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or program management in other industries.Proven experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.Engineering experience in a DoD environment.Knowledge and experience in model-based systems engineering.Experience with CAM Responsibilities and EVMS knowledge.Extensive customer interface experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills up to executive level leadership and problem-solving abilities.U.S. citizenship required.Active DoD SECRET security clearance with the ability to work in closed spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of TRIDENT II Launcher Subsystem and Support Equipment.Design and operational knowledge of Navy Programs.Cybersecurity knowledge and experience.Significant knowledge of secure infrastructure.

Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $234,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
