Northrop Grumman is hiring a Manager Programs 2 – Program Operations Manager at our Chandler, AZ facility.
The Program Operations Manager (POM) is the primary interface between the program office, customer, and factory leadership. This position will be in support of the Interceptors portfolio of programs, supporting critical Missile Defense Agency needs. The POM will be responsible for leading, communicating, and influencing across the organization and the customer. The POM will support all operations activities including cost, quality, and schedule. The POM will be responsible for the overall operational performance for the lifecycle of the program from proposal through delivery.
Essential Functions:
Change agent to improve material flow and empowerment within subassembly integration utilizing lean practices and visual managementEstablish and execute all operations plans, including, material, manufacturing, integration of large and complex subassemblies with associated testingDevelop assembly and manpower forecastLead all proposal efforts for the operations teamEstablish methodology to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly objectives are achievedMaintain ownership of the program’s operations EAC, budget and EVM reportingManage an integrated master schedule for the operation’s portion of the program scopePrepare and present information relating to program status for both internal and external reviewBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related professional experience to include a background in Operations or Program Management/Military experience, OR a Master's Degree and 6 years of related professional experience to include a background in Operations, or Program Management/Military experienceAbility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearanceDemonstrated history of successful large Program Management preferably with Department of Defense customer communityExceptional written and oral communications skillsStrong interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with all levels in the organizationVery strong MS Project, Excel, Power Point and Word skillsExperience leading a multi discipline teamExperience working with a manufacturing execution system (MES, SAP, PRISM)Earned Value Management (EVMS) ExperienceAbility to work under limited supervision and complete projects on time and on budgetVerbal and written communications with managementPreferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret security clearance, or higherBachelors and/or Master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)Extensive experience in Leadership roles within the Aerospace and Defense industry, or within the military.Contracts experience: FAR or equivalent trainingPrevious experience leading a multidisciplinary teamExperience implementing lean projectsExperience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)Experience managing a Product lineProject Management Professional (PMP) certifiedPrimary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
