Job Description SummaryEngineer associated with the production operations and manufacturing process. Accountable for the quality of own work and safety first. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve a result.

Roles and Responsibilities

Must be familiar with EHS practices inside workshop as well as on site and the incumbent should guide & promote entire team on Safety / Quality CultureEnsure improved efficiency of organizational processes to enhance and sustain internal capacity to achieve all customer commitments with Zero delinquency per the Op plan.  Partner with cross-functional teams in improving the production efficiency and build the capacity by ensuring Safety first always.Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving systems and processes.Ensure strong employee engagement and positive industrial relations.Develop Multi skill and efficient utilization of Machine and people.Engage and monitor team very closely to meet Shift/Day wise production outcome with provided technical support & enable to meet business outcome.Should have hands on experience in sheet forming & machining in manufacturing industry.Shall have experience in tool costing and budget approval for new projects, Tool manufacturing and prove out and getting machine programming backup. Review customer requirements against current manufacturing capability with CFT.Implementation of lean and digital tools across the line to drive predictable outcomes with analytics.Use of six -sigma tools to drive solutions.
 

The Ideal Candidate:
Candidate with experience in safe, high-quality production operations, executing step-by-step standard tasks under direct supervision within a well-defined operational framework and prescribed work instructions

Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed college /universityShould Have Minimum of 8-10 years’ hands on experience in production and manufacturing engineering, in aviation industry.Should have good communication and interpersonal skill.Sound knowledge of Planning and execution.Should know knowledge of Dies & Fixture Design & Maintenance.Understanding of AS 9100 and S-1000 Quality StandardExperience in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing and value stream mapping will be added advantage.
