Manager Procurement
**Position Overview** As a key leader of medium-to-large sized spend categories, the Manager Procurement is accountable for the development and implementation of robust sourcing strategies that link to core business deliverables while leveraging the marketplace and supplier community. They will perform end to end strategic sourcing and category management functions: analyzing third party spend to identify opportunities, integrating category strategies, and executing the sourcing process (including but not limited to RFx, negotiations, contracting activities). In this role, you will develop relationships and provide strategic category direction to business partners and cross functional teams. This person will work across other pyramids to drive value and provides guidance as well as ensure adherence to procurement processes and policy compliance across the enterprise. **A Day In The Life** + Create and implement sourcing strategy for medium-to-large sized categories, including managing the sourcing (RFx, RFI, RFP, reverse auction, negotiations) and evaluations processes, using appropriate support tools to drive results and deliver savings + Develop and execute sourcing strategies and events for assigned spend areas, including managing contract negotiation process (pricing, key terms, etc.) and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics + Perform advanced analysis to support the Procurement and Sourcing process, e.g., understanding current potential savings opportunities, pricing models, and scenarios + Maintain and manage existing contracts as well as the contract review process using contract management software + Interface with relevant business partners (VP, Director, and Manager levels) for procurement support, including jointly setting procurement priorities and executing continuous cost and performance improvement strategies + Maintain regular communication with suppliers and work collaboratively to resolve ongoing issues and to promote continuous improvement/cost reductions on a proactive basis **Spend Visibility Management (20%)** + Ownership of the Indirect Spend + Ensure that the spend data flowing through the system is accurately categorized + Analyze and deliver regular spend reporting which includes developing, maintaining, and distributing standardized reporting to the organization + Manage direct reports daily workload, to support the above functions and requirements **Procurement Support (25%)** + Manage, train, and assess Procurement Coordinators and Specialists + Manage team workload, prioritization, and ensure that the Procurement team is appropriately supported analytically throughout the process + Guide and coach procurement staff on Procurement best practices + Assist with other Procurement or Supply Chain initiatives **Sourcing (20%)** + Lead and develop Sourcing Events across multiple categories by executing RFIs, RFPs, and negotiation initiatives in an effort to drive value and deliver measurable savings to the organization by utilizing the appropriate support tools such as eSourcing and reverse auctions + Lead cross functional sourcing teams / Interact cross-functionally with all other departments and serve as an effective and value-added service for the organization + Lead the contract negotiation process, negotiate key terms, assist in the development of service level requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics + Support stakeholder spend / vendor related initiatives as needed **Contract Management (15%)** + Lead the post-sourcing contract review, negotiation and execution process through the contract management tool + Maintain current status of all contracts as required within the contract management tool on a continuous basis **Strategy (10%)** + Assist in the development and execution of category strategies and annual opportunity assessments across the indirect spend categories in support of achieving overall savings targets based on market intelligence gathered + Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market research, conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements. + Analyze category markets and assess risk, gathering intelligence on fundamental conditions and technical information that affects the commodity. + Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies + Monitor category purchasing reports and ensure compliance with appropriate established policies and procedures as required + Identify and implement streamlined category purchasing processes and supporting tools **Supplier Management (10%)** + Measure and manage “suppliers’” (aka vendors, providers, agencies, firms, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). + Identify and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure customer satisfaction + Negotiate and manage key supplier and vendor relationships + Maintain regular contact with current suppliers and resolve ongoing issues as needed + Promote continuous improvement/cost reductions on a regular and proactive basis **You'll Come With** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, MBA a plus + C.P.M., C.P.P or C.P.P.C. Certification a plus + Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) a plus + 5-7 years procurement experience in a multi-site environment supporting multiple business units + Diversified background with exposure to Supply Chain Operations, Project Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Finance, contract negotiations, and/or strategic sourcing + Good understanding of procurement trends and best practices (i.e. reverse auctions, e-sourcing, etc.) + Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of the sourcing process + Good understanding of legal terms related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements + Strong command of vendor performance management and vendor metrics measurement + A general understanding of the contract execution and administration process + Experience with developing and implementing successful cost saving initiatives + Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with keen understanding of relevant cost drivers + Demonstrated ability to lead teams in achieving or beating challenging goals + Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and coach others + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Flexible and responsive to change + Procurement systems knowledge is a plus \#LI-JL2 **Come join our team.
