In this role, The Credit Risk Manager – Business General Aviation This role currently requires a Credit Manager to own the portfolio of customers, by consistently reviewing, identifying, and managing risk for the aviation business to support sales and manage risk prudently. We need someone who would be Interacting regularly with the sales team, exposure control team, dispatch team and other relevant departments, and other reporting in relation to its Business Aviation
Responsibilities
Drives portfolio performance with high energy, ownership, and a strong commercial mindset, proactively enabling sales growth through balanced, riskappropriate solutions while protecting the company.
Manages a global, highprofile credit portfolio for a fuel distribution business—overseeing exposure, credit limits, and payment performance across regions with strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
Leads sensitive credit conversations and negotiations with internal/external stakeholders using exceptional stakeholder influence, clear verbal communication, and wellstructured written communication (including English and all concepts both written and verbal communication).
Operates effectively in a demanding, fastpaced environment, demonstrating accuracy under pressure, adaptability, and timely independent decisionmaking to balance the risk/return of individual accounts and over all portfolio
Conducts regular portfolio reviews to identify early warning signals, deteriorating accounts, and concentration risks with a proactive risk ownership mindset and strategic perspective.
Partners crossfunctionally with Sales, Dispatch, Customer Support, Credit Analysts, and Collections to deliver outcomes through collaboration, professionalism, clarity, and a solutionoriented approach.
Identifies, assesses, and mitigates credit risk by evaluating customer financials, payment trends, market conditions, and industry dynamics using critical thinking, a strong analytical bent of mind, and commercial awareness.
Structures risk mitigants (e.g., guarantees, LC’s, margining, secured terms) to unlock commercial opportunities while managing downside risk, applying problemsolving capability, sound judgment, and risk discipline.
Provides guidance and oversight to junior credit analysts by coaching, reviewing assessments, and strengthening recommendations with openness to feedback, collaborative leadership, and attention to quality.
Partners with senior management on critical highrisk cases (escalations, restructurings, exposure reduction) with professional maturity, confidence in handling complexity, and stakeholder management.
Approves higher DOA limits and exceptions, exercising balanced risk judgment, policy discipline, and high attention to detail on complex and elevatedrisk requests.
Conducts indepth reviews for highvalue/highrisk accounts, recommending revised terms and collateral enhancements with analytical rigor, decision-making confidence, and strategic perspective.
Leads and supports legal, bankruptcy, and insolvency cases by coordinating with internal legal teams and external counsel with resilience, structured problemsolving, and effective crossfunctional engagement.
Prepares and presents quarterly bad debt reserve analysis and reporting, ensuring accurate provisioning and management visibility through, attention to detail, and clear written communication. Consult and analyze various sources of information to provide a summary of the recommended steps and advocate next course of actions
Demonstrates curiosity, a continuous improvement mindset, and initiative beyond defined responsibilities, bringing genuine passion for credit risk management and aviation/fuel business dynamics.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
Holding Degree in Risk Management, CA, CS, ICWA, CMA, CFA, FPNA, FRM holding any of these qualifications
Experience: Good years of experience in credit risk, portfolio management in a management role. Must have done Extensive Portfolio Risk Management, Credit Underwriting, financial spreading, Deeper level of financial assessment. US Facing business Flexible to support 24/7 operations.
