Summary:
The Manager of Team Member Relations serves as a strategic partner and subjectmatter expert responsible for fostering a positive, fair, inclusive, and legally compliant workplace. This role leads the team member relations function, oversees complex investigations, advises leaders on performance and conduct matters, ensures consistent application of policies, and supports a culture aligned with organizational values. The manager builds strong relationships with team members and leaders, proactively identifies risks, and drives solutions that promote engagement, trust, and Company culture.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide advice and counsel to leadership on all Team Member Relations (TMR) matters, including performance issues, corrective action, policy questions, and workplace concerns.
Guide managers and team members in effective problem solving, dispute resolution, conflict management, and communication practices.
Conduct impartial, thorough, and timely investigations into complaints involving harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and other workplace issues.
Gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and collaborate with the Director of Staffing & Team Member Relations, Legal Counsel, and outside attorneys as appropriate.
Ensure accurate documentation, case management, and follow through on all TMR matters.
Oversee and advise on performance management processes, including corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
Support consistent use of the company’s performance management system.
Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII) and advise leadership to ensure compliance.
Develop, update, and maintain team member relations policies, procedures, and best practices.
Partner with Learning to develop and implement policy related training for leaders and team members.
Analyze engagement data and turnover trends to identify systemic issues and recommend action.
Oversee implementation of team member recognition programs (e.g., annual awards).
Ensure the security, accuracy, and integrity of HR files and sensitive information, including I9s, performance evaluations, TMR documentation, and confidential records.
Preferred or Required Qualifications:
Four-year college or university degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field of study is preferred.
Hotel operations experience required; experience as a General Manager is strongly preferred.
Experience resolving complex workplace issues.

Oversee implementation of team member recognition programs (e.g., annual awards).
Recommend and support implementation of technology solutions to improve TMR processes.
Ensure the security, accuracy, and integrity of HR files and sensitive information, including I9s, performance evaluations, TMR documentation, and confidential records.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
Partner with leadership to proactively identify TMR risks, opportunities, and trends.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Read, analyze and interpret general business information.
Read, write and speak English clearly.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
