As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking Deposits 2.0 Tech team, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representationRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.Experience leading technology projects and managing technologistsAbility to design and architect new applications utilizing leading edge technologiesExpertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplinesAdvanced knowledge of architecture, hexagonal architectures, design across all systemsProficiency in multiple modern programming languages/platforms, such as: Java, Spring Boot, Photon, Restful Microservice, AWS or Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Cassandra.10+ years of hands on experience as a software engineer with focus on modern Agile software delivery practices such as Scrum, CI/CD Jenkins and BDD, and DevOpsPrior experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Web Services.Recent experience with a cloud platform (such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry/AWS) or container technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplinesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Performance Testing experience with Blazemeter / JmeterIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experience
