As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Corporate Oversight and Governance Technology team , you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

 

Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on technology project management concepts and 5+ years applied experience . In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience,. Experience leading technology projectsExperience managing technologistsProficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityExperience in designing and implementing high-performance, low-touch trading systems.Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and optimize application performance and reliability.Experience with messaging systems such as AMPS or Kafka, particularly in the context of real-time data streaming and processing.Experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and testing, particularly in Java environments.Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) to streamline testing and reporting

Experience working at code levelExperience  in working with Linux operating systems, including scripting and basic administration tasks relevant to capital systems.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana or Splunk for application performance and system health monitoring.
