Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for a Manager Program 1 to support the Speargun Production Program in the Active RF OU in Linthicum, MD. This program has responsibility for the manufacturing and test of high-volume space payloads.
The ideal candidate will possess strong execution skills and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced operating unit.
The selected candidate will lead and manage the build and integration of Factory Test Equipment integration efforts with XDREX, Panel, ESA, Payload and Processor. This position will report to the AI&T PM for the program and be responsible for:
Understanding test flow for hardware built at Space Autoline & Test (SALT)
Ensure all test equipment including thermal chambers has floor space allocated through facilities
Works with calibration services to group to schedule hardware for calibration with limited interruption to production
Attends engineering IPT meetings to understand technical challenges that may become an area of risk for the test set build
Set expectations for technical staff to support hardware and software integration efforts.
Works with Mission Assurance lead, Test Engineering Lead, and AI&T Lead to complete gating events leading up to Test Equipment certifications
Works with manufacturing leadership to coordinate release and assembly of test equipment
Works with Test Engineering Group to develop test equipment and build plan to align with program production schedule
Manages tasks within cost and schedule constraints
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience; a PhD +0 years of experience supporting Government proposals, contracts, and/or project management.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements.
Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment.
Plan schedules and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives.
The ability to recognize and respond to executive and customer goals to rapidly develop outcomes supporting sector objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a lead or manager positions.
Experience with the factory execution of a production program.
Experience in a leadership position on government programs over $10M.
Experience with earned value management and capture management.
Experience with geographically diverse program teams.
Salary Range: $124,000.00 - $186,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
