We are presently looking for a Full Time Nurse Manager who will be a member of the Nursing Leadership Team and provides guidance for House Supervisors for staffing issues, personnel conflicts, and professional development while fostering an environment conducive for promoting best practices and nursing excellence.

Responsibilities include:

Work with CNO and ADON on maintaining adequate, cost-efficient staffing of all hospital units. Maintains nursing guidelines and best practices by researching, developing policies and procedures, and the training of front-line staff Assures the quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing department’s philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to the State Board of Nursing Practice Act requirements and to other governing agency’s regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards, making or recommending adjustments. Management of Medical Code Responses and ongoing continuous training for staff. Development and management of the nursing preceptor/mentorship program. Development and management of the Infection Control Program. Formulate and implement staffing schedule. Notify CNO of all incidents and events. Assist CNO in identification / investigation of staff performance issues. May take part in employee counseling upon direction of CNO.

 Qualifications:

Education:

BS Nursing

Experience:

Two (2) years psych/chemical dependency nursing preferred

One (1) year supervisory experience

License:

NV Registered Nurse license
