The Manager, North America Assortment Process plays an integral role in leading and driving new ways of working within the NA merchandising organization. The Manager will deliver, optimize, and sustain the assortment planning processes and enabling technology in support of driving top line sales, improved profitability, and improved inventory turns.

 

We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join the North America Merchandise Strategy and Operations team at Foot Locker Inc. As Manager, North America Assortment Process, you will leverage your critical thinking and problem-solving skills as you work closely with the business to deliver capabilities and solutions that enable efficient and effective execution of their business strategies. The role will require a thoughtful approach to problem solving, an analytical and strategic mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally across a large matrixed organization. Communication and influence are critical to success, along with fluency in business processes, technology, change management, and training.

As Manager, North America Assortment Process, you will be accountable for partnering with merchandising, assortment planning, and space planning teams to deliver, support, and optimize business processes and system capabilities within the Merchandising organization. The functional scope includes line planning, assortment planning, assortment analytics and optimization, lifecycle attribution and management, store clustering based on space, volume, and preference, and sales and hindsight analytics.

Partner with the Business

Collaborate with merchandising teams to understand pain points, priorities, and future requirements.Facilitate alignment across functions by presenting pros/cons, alternative options, and implications.Communicate key decisions effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Lead Process Definition

Drive project activities and deliverables, ensuring clarity on new systems and future-state processes.Define global future-state processes, connecting the dots across functions and geographies.Engage subject matter experts and maintain a holistic view of upstream and downstream impacts.

Support Process Change

Assess organizational impacts of significant process changes.Contribute to communication plans and lead sessions to ensure clarity and adoption.Identify opportunities for process improvements and user adoption strategies.

Drive Business Engagement and Adoption

Ensure strong business involvement throughout projects.Develop and deliver end-user training programs.Provide hands-on support during key rollout periods.

Optimize and Sustain Capabilities

Monitor and evaluate processes to ensure they meet business needs and identify areas for continuous improvement.Lead process improvement initiatives aligned with leadership priorities.Manage strategic initiatives in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or merchandising required5-7 years of experience of relevant retail experiencePrior experience in the merchandising or planning process either in a functional role or in a project-oriented support roleExperience working in assortment planning solutionsAbility to establish relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituenciesAbility to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivatedAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency while remaining organizedAbility to problem-solve, manage to deadlines, and complete in-depth analysis to support decision makingProficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas, data analysis and transformation

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $115000 - $130000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
